She appeared in "You'll Like My Mother" (1972) starring Patty Duke , Rosemary Murphy and Richard Thomas. For this role, Allen was nominated for the 1973 Golden Globe Award as "Most Promising New Actress". She is known to many fans of The Waltons (1971) as "Jenny Pendleton", John-Boys first love. Sian was an active actress mainly in the 1970s, appearing on shows like The Rockford Files (1974), Ironside (1967), Bonanza (1959), Gunsmoke (1955) and many others. The year 1973 found Sian nominated and awarded the Golden Globe for the most promising new actress. Sian Barbara Allen last role was in the L.A. Law (1986) episode, "Whatever Happened to Hannah?" playing the character of Diane Campbell. Unfortunately, for reasons that are seemingly unknown, Sian quit show biz, and has now gone on to live a more private life.
